im wondering if fish sleep now!!
i have proved that they have a memory grater than 3 seconds as i have a well known frienly koi carp that's got it's own personality!!
all 23 of my koi have different things they do to make them individual.
Do they sleep tho?

All fish sleep. They sleep best when they are left in total darkness, which explains why your koi appear to be asleep/motionless when the light is off. And yes, like us, I suspect they have different personalities too! :)

maximum in all probability, some fish are nocturnal. I even have 2 clown loaches that cover under rocks on a similar time as the easy is on and while that is off they go loopy. you would be able to look into some floating flowers to maintain the easy down so your fish would be extra energetic in the process the day

As far as the strictest sence of the word no. Webster says that eyes need to be shut. They do go into a relaxed resting state though

Yes all fish sleep just like every other living animal out there but since they dont have eyelids they cant close their eyes.

They do not sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For a start they have no eyelids! When they are pretty much motionless they are resting thier bodies.Just make sure they are still alive as they don't stay still for very long, minutes if that. Its all there body needs.

its not sleep like you or i sleep. but they do go into a state of rest. don't turn the light on suddenly as it will scare the bejeuse out of them

NOPE IF THEY DO GO TO SLEEP THEY WILL DIE PLUS THEY HAVE NO EYELIDS.THEY JUST SORT OF "SIT" THERE TO CONSERVE ENERGY WHEN THE LIGHTS GO OFF.
