Just for the record, I am black. I can not speak for all blacks, but I can speak for my family and friends. We are all hard working people and NO ONE, has ever handed anything to me. I have worked myself through college to earn 4 degrees and I guarantee you that everything that I have earned has been obtained through hard work

I did not know that was possible. I will give you the benefit of the doubt here and not take your head off. Everything that someone gets, they have to pay some sort of dues for. Whether it is using the mind or money or a combination of both. The is no such thing as something for nothing, because if there were I assure you every race under the soon would be trying to get it. So, if you are wondering why black people set out to achieve certain things. Then it is because of the same reason that everybody else does.

You may mean some black people. I could say the same about other races. We are all the same honey. Open your mind a little bit. I'm a black women, my grandfather is white and my grandmother is Indian, but my skin is black. What are you referring to as black, because their are black Hispanics, black Latinos, black Asians, and so on and so on. It's offensive to say "black people" because you are categorizing everyone with dark skin. But not every black person try to get something for nothing. I have caucasion customers at the bank who always want stuff for free. Open your eyes a little bit.

No...don't tell me that you're Caucasian? And I refuse to believe that some of your best friends are Black. Therefore, tell me: When was the last time you gave someone Black a $5.00 bill? When was the last time you helped an old Black woman cross the street? Are you directing this question based upon an incident you recently experienced? How much money do you have to give to the poor, hungry, needy? If it's free, give me some.

What makes you think that black people ALWAYS try to get something for nothing?

Either you are meeting the wrong kind of black people, or you are hopelessly prejudiced.

I certainly don't try to get something for nothing all the time, and nobody else I know (black, white, or otherwise) try to either.

Maybe They Learned It From Some, Not All, But Some Caucasion Racist People Who Tried Tried To Steal Their Human Rights Years Ago......History Repeats Itself!......

Whoa, bigot..you, like the rest of bigots, have no clue as to what you are speaking about. Until you have been in someone else's shoes, don't judge! Blacks that I know pay their own way, and bring many with them. IN fact, I am sure I would prefer to know most blacks rather than you, judging from your statement. But on the other hand, this just may be another attempt to stir it up here....it worked, I am sure.

WHOOOOAAAAAA!!!!! wait a minute, i find it hard to believe that black people on here don't know anybody else that is black that try to get things for free, anybody ever walk into a welfare office? or go to section A housing? its all black people?!?! i mean i've seen it, i know its real, i work with black people such as this one woman who by the way has 3 kids by 3 different dads and she always is excited when she gets hundreds of dollars from the government telling all of her friends that she's going to get the expensive meat and is going to buy all this stuff for her friends when that money is given to her for her kids?!?!? what about affirmative action? if i was black i would think of that as an insult as if i would need help to get a job? there was a black lady on the news the other day with her hair all done, her nails done, beautiful clothes and she was so happy that her kids were going to get free dental care, dentists dont' work for free so who pays the bills? It used to be thought as disgraceful if you had to ask your government for money, you weren't considered a real man if you couldn't provide for your family, but today everybody has there hands out, i will never expect my government to take care of me, i can take care of myself and i am no ones responibility! i will always look down on people who refuse to take care of themselves and there family

Why are there ignorant people like you who ask stupid questions like this one? There are people of every race and creed who try to get something for nothing. The majority of blacks are hard working people. Shame on you for suggesting otherwise.
