In 1988 Wimbledon won the FA Cup against all expectations by beating Liverpool 1-0 in the final, and Beasant became the first goalkeeper to save a penalty in an FA Cup final, stopping a controversial spot-kick (Clive Goodyear had clearly played the ball) from John Aldridge.

Given that Beasant played for them in the late 80s, is unlikely he signed for them in the late 90's!! Previous respondants...... READ THE QUESTION!!! Is the answer you're after Andy Goram? I think he was at Wimbledon around then and there's a couple of records he holds - he played in all 55 of Rangers' competitive fixtures in his first season with them (around 1982) which I believe is somne sort of record - and he also represented Scotland as a full international at both soccer and cricket....
