I have lived in New Jersey for a year and 7 months, and I STILL hate this place!!! I am living in Burlington County, and you have to drive for at least 30 minutes in each direction before you see anything!!!! Is there something I'm missing, or are the stereotypes about this place true?

Not to bad if you want to visit the City It's a drive for me from the North fork of Long Island I guess about 4 hours not sure it's been a while since I was there. You can make jokes about where you live. I know one part of NJ was hard to get around because of the way the roads were to make a left hand turn I had to make a right go around a circle and wait at the light so I could go strait which was left before I had to do all of that paraphernalia. Kelly Ripa's from there.

I'm in Burlington County, also. Lot's of good stuff: hour from the shore, hour from the mountains, hour from Philly, hour from NY, right on the Delaware, variety of seasons, great produce, quiet suburbia...

It's called the garden state. Newark needs to be flushed that's for sure. Get out! It's on the coast, that's something.

No. That's why the people in NY are so depressed... they realized the light at the end of the tunnel is New Jersey!

I guess the name of the state depend on the corruption of the people. People's attitudes vary.
