Call the chamber of commerce, call up club owners, put up flyers, send out letters. Do whatever you can get a gig. You may never know... there might be a talent scout out there in the audience!

Put up alot of posters, make a website, have a number that places can call, and while you're out go into different places and try to ask the manager or whatever.

Go to local buisnesses and ask the manager, or go to a guitar store or place that gives guitar lessons, usually they have adds there on small cork boards!
Best of luck on finding a place to jam.

Make a CD or cassette of your music, then take it to clubs/venues in your area that feature the kind of music you play.
Tell them you usually pull quite a crowd. (But then if you get a gig, you have to get people to come!
Sometimes taking a pizza in with your CD helps.
Good luck!
