gateway Solo 3150 laptop wont keep date & time. Is the CMOS attery going out?

Try opening the time/date,,while you've got it open tap the space bar a few times..If this don't help then your CMOS battery is going bad.

if it steadily loses time, then more tha likely, if it is sporadic, probably a virus, try the battery first
