All cultures have different ways of disciplining their children.
But it's not just cultures. It's people in general. Different families discipline their children in different ways. Just because one family might be Puerto Rican and disciplines their child in a certain way does not mean that another Puerto Rican family will discipline their child in the same way.

I can only speak for the Germans. However, I developed a keen interest in Puerto Rican Disciplinary Procedures last night during a phone call, so I'll be watching this answer thread with much interest.
