I found a tick crawling on my arm just a couple minutes ago. I have been home for over 3 hours so I don't think I got it from outside.

Probably you did bring it in. Don't panic, if the tick is not embedded you don't have a disease.
It is possible that the tick landed on your clothes or hair first and it took a while to migrate to another more likely area.
Also, cats, dogs,Pets of any furry or feathery kind might be a host to ticks so a furry friend could have brought it in to you.
I really doubt if your house is infested!
Do you dry your laundry on the clothes line?
Did you hang your jacket on a fence post or tree,
May be stand under a tree to escape a summer shower?
Please don't worry, It is normal in my area to start a tick body check at bed time! If you find a tick, embedded or not, you can drop it into a bottle of Alcohol and bring it to your local extension service for an I.D.

Check yourself for more. If you don't find anymore, don't sweat it. Ticks can be on you for hours before they get to a spot where you can feel them.

Rave like a lunatic.

You probably got it outside. Relax.

Or check your beddings and pillows. The couches.
