Talk to her. Sit her down and tell her about your feelings for her ex-boyfriend. She'll appreciate the fact that you came to her first, instead of disregarding her feelings and going for the boy. If she tells you that you can no longer pursue this boy, respect her wishes. After all, your best friend is much more important than just one silly boy.

You heart him?.....anyway....stay away.....thats one of the most messed up things you can do to a friend...unless you talk with her and she has no problem with it.....but thats usually not the case.....so if you "heart" your best friends ex-boyfriend, the best advice i can give you is to be prepared to loose your best friend....thats usually the way it goes.....if she was truely your best friend you would back off from her ex and never consider it again......good friends are hard to come by.....personally i dont know why you'd want to date your friends ex....thats left overs.

It's hard to say whether you should go for it or not. I dated my friend's ex for three months. At first she was pretty pissed (which made no sense because she broke up with him) but eventually she got over it. It all depends. How do you think your friend will react? Two of my friends are best friends, and when one of them broke up with her bf, she helped hook him up with the other. Some take it well, some don't.

First of all, did she break up with him? If he broke up with her, you should definetely AT LEAST talk to your friend to see if she thinks it is acceptable for you to go out with her ex. If it is not okay with her, decide what you want more: Your friendship with her or him. Otherwise, just wait a while until she is over him and it becomes okay for you to date him.

If he is really her EX....Go forit. IF not leave him alone unless you want to looose her as a friend. You might ask her if its' O.K.
