I just installed windows 98 Second Eddition on my friend's mom's laptop. Her laptop is a Dell Lattitude. The instalation went ok, but we are only running 16 colors. When you go into Display Properties, you can only change the colors to either 2 or 16, and you can't resize the desktop. It is stuck huge. What drivers can I get or what do I need to do to get back to 16 or 32 bit? Is there a website I can go to?

The drivers for the laptop were not installed along with the Windows installation.

Visit Dell's site and find the drivers on there by searching the model # on the laptop.

If the laptop is too old to still have drivers on Dell's website, you might try running Belarc Advisor. It will give you a list of all the hardware on the computer and missing drivers in a HTML web page.

Once you have the video/graphics driver name you are looking for, you can google it.

Go to support.dell.com and get the owner's manual for your computer. They also have an extensive online help site for a lot of questions not covered in the manual. You can also download all of the latest drivers for the computer.
