Glycosylated hemoglobin is a test that indicates how much sugar has been in a person's blood during the past two to four months. It is used to monitor the effectiveness of diabetes treatment.

Diabetes treatment should achieve glycosylated hemoglobin levels of less than 7.0%. Normal values for a non-diabetic person is 4.0-6.0%.
Every lab has a slight variation in their numbers. I would guess his levels are normal.

Are you sure it was a glucose test? 'cos HDL sounds like a cholesterol level check result...

Less than 40 means you're at higher risk for heart disease.

I don't think you have the number quite right. Check on the American Diabetes Association website. They have all the anwers! Good luck and avoid fruit juices and soda. They make everything worse!

im pretty sure that they were checking his sugar levels, because if its to low then that means your pancreas are not producing enough sugar, which can be diabetes, if its to high then he needs to change his diet to lower the level
