Oh it all depends on the people. I recieved every last thing I needed on my regestry list. Most people LOVE to buy baby things so they will just go crazy with it. Very good decision to buy after the shower. And don't feel like you are asking for others to provide for your child. The whole point of a baby shower is a congratulations and a way to help you out. And the first baby in the family!?!? oh yea you are set! You will probably need to become friends with either Good Will or Ebay because you will probably get more than you need! Congratulations!

It depends on the people, but if you have a registery you should at least get one of eveything. But you should wait until after the shower to get anything else, becasue you might just get everything. With my first daughter I went out and bought everything when I found out I was pregnant, because silly me didn't even thing of having one. Then I had a very small shower and still got lots of little things since I bought all the big stuff. But I set on bottles and even diapers for six months. And don't fell like people are providing for you either, because guess what you'll provide for the new one for the rest of your life so take this as a good start.

It really depends on how many people you invite, how close they are to you, and how much money they have at their disposal.
The grandparents, aunts, uncles etc all tend to spend the most amount of money on the baby. They might buy you some of the bigger items, or a lot of smaller items.
Your close friends will probably buy you a lot of smaller items, but generally not spend as much as relatives of the baby will.
Your 'friends' will probably only buy you a few smaller items.
I recommend that you go to the forum that I will provide you with the link to and ask there. I know many women there have had baby showers and will be able to tell you what they got, and from who. I have learnt so much from that site that I doubt I would have learnt otherwise.

Wow. i'm so sorry that befell to you. i should be heart-damaged to boot if I were on your shoes. possibly the in straightforward words ingredient you need to do is sense free that the those who quite care about you've been there to celebrate with you. As for the others, next time you spot them say something like, "We ignored you on the infant bathe the different day. i became frightened once you probably did not look." they're going to likely initiate having verbal diarrhea attempting to describe why they weren't there. lol you'd be the bigger man or woman even with the actuality that by ability of no longer making an excellent deal out of it.. Their awkwardness and embarrassment can make you sense slightly more suitable desirable too. :)

Well, it all depends on how many people show up to the shower. If you get a lot of guests and they bring gifts then you may have a lot of things.
