What about the "Cars"? Does he sing in the group of the car's? If not, who sang the lead in the group, of the car's? I loved them when i was a kid.. I liked the song called "summer", and I guess you're just what I needed. Did mercury sing that in the group?

I am not sure if he sang with the group the cars but he was the lead singer if the band QUEEN. And while I like some of QUEEN's work I wouldn't say that I love Freddy Mercury at all.

No. Freddy Mercury was the lead singer of Queen. Not the Cars. He was never associated with the Cars
He was a damn good man, who left us too soon.
Lead singer of the Cars was Rick Ocasek, who will be replaced by Todd Rundgren
The Cars also never sang a song called "Summer"

He was with Queen. Awsome singer and writer...A great loss to the music community. Sexuality is not an issue. It is a shame he fell to AIDS. Nobody will ever be able to fill his shoes. Or nobody should ever even want to fill his shoes. My only regret, as a concert goer in my early years, Queen was the band I wish I had the opportunity to see live and I never had the opportunity. God Bless Freddy Mercury.
