Any water based lube will work. For instance KY, Astroglide, ID, Wet, Electra, etc. The lube will state on the box and/or the bottle that it is water based or not. Most of them that you buy in the store are water based. Never use petrolium, Crisco, or anything like that. It not only will eat through the condom, it is harsher on the system which means that your gf can get a yeast infection from it a little easier.

No lube is needed, just get things flowing first.
Of course, KY or an alternative works fine.

You should use a lubricant specifically made for this purpose. Don't use petroleum jelly. Go to any drug store and look for a cream or gel lubricant for this purpose.

I think when you go in the store you check the labels on products they will tell you. Astroglide is a good product.
