ive always had people tell me im pretty and that im very attractive,but why can't i get a boyfriend i mean everyone in the 8 th grade has had at least one, ive had none. is it that im not aggresive enough or too shy? please dont say that im too young anyway.

You maybe pretty but beauty doesnt get you far in life. Take up a hobby and do something with your life stop stressing over guys. You said that your dad has spent 3 yrs in Iraq, my husband has been there a year, he is 24 and I am 20. We have a 15mo old son. If your father is still active, you might want to stop worrying about guys and spend some time with your father.
Maybe you are shy or not aggressive. However you need to be yourself and if no guys are drawn in then dont worry. There will be PLENTY of guys later in life. 8th grade puts you at what 13? Think about something else, guys shouldnt be the focus of life and/or school. Find yourself and what you life and so on before you worry about others, they will come in time, good luck though

Try being more aggresive. Let them know who you are and what you're there for. Or steal someone's boyfriend. You're young, everyone will get over it. It's not like you're going to be dating the guy you marry or sleep with anyways.

i know im in year 10.
maybe because ur too pretty the boys think if they ask u out u might say no.
maybe they think ur already taken.
maybe they think ur a *****.soz
well there are many possiblities...
but i think u should drop hints: like u dont have a boyfriend and all that.
tell ur girlfriends that u want a boyfriend.(all girls LOVE to help with matchmaking).

you could be intimidating. try showing them that even though you may be very pretty your a regular person too. tripping or doing something cute and cllumsy can help. talk bout your feelings a lil, and welcome people. just be flirty =)
there is also the possibility that you are not girlfriend material. maybe you are a bit naiive, untrustworthy, or dont flirt much.
the best ways of showing interest are hugging guys when u greet them and poking them gently. repaeting their name in convos and leaning your heead against their shoulders. maybe sometimes place your hand on top of thers *cassually* [lol] and see how they react.

guys will realize you, dont worry. usually it takes time and continuous effort for them to notice girls.

that means you are like 13 or 14 years old
you cant even start thinking about getting married for another 4 years.
There is no point in dating if the relationship is going nowhere

just because you are pretty does not guarantee a boyfriend. a lot of pretty girls end up alone. maybe the boys are intimidated by you and don't feel like they have a chance with someone like you or maybe your personality sucks.
