I am also having loose stool (sorry tmi). With every braxton hicks I experience the pressure on my rectum as if I need to go to the washroom, but nothing happens (except for the occasional loose stool). Any suggestions? Could I have stomache flu or something? Can I take anything? I am waiting on a call back from my midwife and decided to get some advice and opinions from you guys. Thanks a lot.

Thanks to all that responded. The braxton hicks has subsided, but my stomach is still a mess and hurts. I can't eat a thing without feeling extremely sick and running to the washroom, but nothing's there most of the time. My midwife told me to go on the BAT diet (Bread, Apple sauce, Toast) until I can tolerate food. I've had this problem for a little over two weeks now. I haven't went to the doctor, but I think I'll go later on today just to be safe. I've already lost 10 pounds with this pregnancy and really don't wanna lose anymore if it is going to be unsafe for baby. I am using all of your advice to see if it helps before I go running to the hospital on a blank mission. Thanks everyone!

Start by drinking tons of water. At least a 1/2 gallon over the next hour or two. If there is no reason you can't take Tylenol, and your doctor/midwife is okay with it, take two.

You can also call the Hospital and ask for L&D, they have a whole list of things they run you through to check for false labor before they have you come in. They prefer you to do it at home instead of in the waiting room there.

Be prepared to let them know when your BHCs started and how far they are from start of one to start of another. They will also want to know when you felt the baby move last, so if you haven't noticed it lately, try drinking some juice or something sweet to get the bugger moving for a minute.

Good luck, for the moment, definately get that water into you, dehydration can cause all of your symptoms.

Don't blame your self for the combating your dad and mom are doing. You and your brother are almost always suffering from what's going on. If dad and mom are combating at all times and it's in entrance of the kids, this reasons a adverse family. My husband and I went via this level, all we did was once combat. Suddenly the entire kids did was once combat. We just about broke up. But some thing our youngest mentioned made us give up in our tracks and feature a truth investigate on what we wherein doing. We are satisfactory now and so are the kids. We as dad and mom can get so wrapped up in our possess dramas that we put out of your mind how the kids react to this. Maybe in the event you spoke for your dad and mom, inform them the way you suppose and that you simply thinks that that it's your fault they're combating, matters might upgrade. Better to speak to them while they're calm now not while they're within the center of an issue.

are you sure this is false labor? When I had braxton hicks I didn't have pressure on my rectum, but when the baby was ready to come I did, that is how a woman knows it is time to push. It feels like you are really constipated. I'd say you are in labor.

Try drinking water. Sometimes when people get dehydrated, (I don't know if you are) but it can cause loose stools and also contractions. I have heard of this happening before. I hope everything is ok!
