I know, I'm only 12, but please don't be all, "you are to you to ask this question". It's not like its wrong or anything. I was in the locker room of a pool after being there (we were there for a school field trip, so tons of kids were waiting for the stalls to open because they didn't want to change in front of everyone else like me) and we had to leave THEN or we'd miss the bus. I had to change in front of everyone because we were late! I was the only one, because everyone else would make it into the stalls in time! So i did, but i hated it and people stared and they were all kids from school so soon the whole school will be talking about! We don't even take showers at school or anything, so this was new for everyone, to see me butt naked! And I was the only one! This is where the question comes in: Is it wrong to be embarresed? Do other schools shower and at this age?

hi when i was 12 i used to be embarrassed when i took showers in front of my classmates but i thought to myself they must be jealous if they stared at me but after a couple of weeks every one else had to do it to so no one cared any more. and that was 10 years ago at chi-hi in WI i hope that makes you feel better.

Nothing wrong with what you did or how you feel. Who wants to ride around wet or go to the next class that way? However, you are probably right about people talking about it. It would have been worse if you had pulled your clothes over the wet ones because then they would have assumed you wet your pants. Kids your age are awful about that. They try to talk you down to build themselves up. When I was in school we showered and changed after PE and if you were in a hurry you did it in front of everyone. I don't remember any really bad talk, just a little teasing because everyone developes at a different rate. Keep your head up!

No, it is not wrong to be embarrassed, but just because you had to change in front of others doesn't mean you should feel embarrassed. Although I'm an adult now, when I was your age we had to shower together by gender( ie only male or only female). I just asked my kids, both boys ages 12 and 13. They said when their coach has taken them to the public swimming pool, they said some kids changed in stalls but alot of them changed in open dressing area cause it was quicker.

It is embarassing when everyone sees you naked and changing clothes but you are changing in the correct place which is the locker room. not outside the locker room. wel, if embarassing questions does starts to ask at you, you can perhaps refuse to answer or just treat it as a passing questions and ignore. the other way is walked off.

At your age it is almost always embarrassing to be nude in front of other people the first few times. As time goes on and you are nude in front of more people you will soon get over being embarrassed and think nothing of it. When I was in school we started "having" to shower in 5th grade and didn't stop until out of high school.I think you will outgrow the embarrassment and eventually think nothing of it.

Do not be embarrassed, Sweetie, these things happen, they do! You just got caught in one of those moments that you will talk about when you are 45 years old and no one will remember but you and your children will laugh!!
Been there, done that, very similar situation!
If anybody says anything now just say, "Your parents should have taught you to look the other way and then not say anything. You are rude"!

it,s not wrong to be embarass, it's natural since you don't usually go naked in front of a bunch of strangers. But hat's off to you being practical, the more you do it the less you feel self- concious about your own body. The less self concious the more confident you get.

Don't let it get to you. any1 would feel embarrased in that position. some ppl wear boxers under their bathing suit to help prevent that situation from happening. its also good because when you jump into a pool it sometimes comes off, so at least u have underwear as a second backup
