ok here are some ways
It takes money to buy drugs that should be spent on rent, food, utilities, clothes, etc.
It teaches children that it is alright to ignore the law and they don't have to take responsibility for their actions.
It just masks feelings that need to be felt and worked thru (grief, anger, hurt, envy, etc.)
It clouds judgement so that the person using drugs does not participate in family life or act appropiately.
It takes that persons interaction away from the family.
it kills that person leaving family members to grieve because the person was just selfish.
It teaches children it is ok to be self centered.
most drug additics steal to support their habit so that is also wrong. If they do work depending on their job they could be a danger to others.
DUI kills innocent people and causes other to have to deal with their actions that does not even know the drug user.
I know there are other effects but these are just the ones that I can think of.
