here is a theroy you may like or may not believe it. It all depends on what you belive.
if you had one line of dominoes some one had to push over the first one to start fate and since the dominos just fall in order there must be no free will this must also mean there is a reason for living. I dont realy feel like typing to night so these theroies that i will list futher will be just staments. When you die all that you leave behind tat is of any importence is you kids and there kids and so on becuz it is just one big cycle any ways the reason for this is to populate the earth. Why would some want to do tat we dont realy have a choice with out children life would not exist. But realy why are we doing this. THERe must be a higher reason of why we are living and giving birth to future generations. Although we dont no the reason we can have assumption i have one that i belive in which is that we are made for knowledge what are the chance that the maker of the human race have a celle phone may they made us to get even smarter. Thats just some of what i belive PEACE!@

People who continue to believe this hypothesis: that we are Really brains in vats, being manipulated to see a reality which doesn't exist... are absurd.

Why?

For 1) I'll NEVER see the vat my brain is in, even if neural messages are sent to my brain to that effect, I'm always inside an inpenetrable simulacrum.

2) What year is it again? 2006... you know the Greeks were questioning the cosmos, looking for natural laws from 600 BCE? They had a reason to believe in gods-- they couldn't explain everything, they could barely agree on anything. The limit cases of our science are now quantitatively reversed . That is, the things we can't yet explain are SO MARGINAL compared to everything we are damn certain about. To attribute those "mysteries" to a god, evil demon, or inconsistency in the "Reality program" feeding our deluded brains is in bad faith, is an appeal to ignorance, and falling back towards "mythos" for offering divine, messianic, incomprehensible solutions to our present problems. Faith qua BAD faith.

There is no clear answer, because it could be God and accident at the exact same time. If God was all-loving, God would have been bound to create us. Maybe God caused the Big Bang? Certainly one's answer will affect the life one lives.

i think humanity exists so that we can learn to live as god really wanted us to, so that we dont forget the roots of civilisation and learn from the destruction of each civilisation...
humanity exists as god has a plan 4 every creature he sends to earth and.. at the end of the day, we r all pieces on the chess board, bu i dont think we all r just pawns, some end up being a king in his/her own way...but as each piece on the board, every human is just as important as the other and plays his/her own gr8 job...but we need to remmbr that, we cant play this game on our own... god is the player...

Humanity and life exist so god (or mother/father, as you wish to call it) can dance. Can you picture an everblooming cosmic flower?

A random meeting of carbon based elements and molecules. It is a wonder we've last this long...we've beaten the odds. But probability has a way of catching up to you...

I hear there's a race of aliens who "harvest our souls" at a huge processing plant on the moon. Seriously.

I think it's both...we are all part of a larger deal (the universe), yet we each have our individual experiences.
