NEW YORK (Reuters) - Conservative author Ann Coulter sparked a storm on Wednesday after describing a group of September 11 widows who backed the Democratic Party as millionaire "witches" reveling in their status as celebrities.

"I've never seen people enjoying their husbands' deaths so much," Coulter writes in her book "Godless: The Church of Liberalism,"

Not a fan of Ann but this time she really hit the nail on the head. So many other people have lost relatives in sensless acts of crim. They got millions while most people just have to figure it out them selves. They act as if they are some one special, they are not look at the oklahoma bombing.

AAArrrggghhh!!! I just read the answers to this questions, and I cannot believe ANYONE could support that woman while she whines about these poor women "Exploiting" the 9/11 tragedy. Isn't that pretty much the entire Republican Platform? Exploiting 9/11?? How can anyone say she's got a point, she's made more money off of 9/11 than almost anyone, with all of her hateful books. Can any of those people who still support her remember what 9/11 was like? Money, any amount of money, will NEVER make up to these poor women what they lost. Hopefully this will bury Ann Coulter forever, we can only hope.

These widows put themselves in the spotlight unlike the other families of those that were lost on 9-11. They should be expected to be criticized since they put themselves in the "Activist" role. They shouldn't have to hide behind grief.

So you can get millions of compensation if the terrorists were foreign but your on your own when the terrorists are home grown. Pan Am 103, 9/11 vs Oklahoma City Bombing.

I agree with Ann Coulter here, it is about the same position that I have with the families of the victims of Pan Am 103. I might sound cruel but oh well, that's the truth as I see it.

I think that someone should tell Ann Coulter that she is a B****.

P.S. I really worry about anyone who could say that Ann Coulter comments are right. The comments she made are cruel and uncalled for. Just because these women had the courage to speak out for John Kerry instead of Bush. Thank goodness for freedom of speak. So who has the right to say that Ann can speak out and these other women can't.

This is exactly what Ann Coulter is talking about in her book. That personal grief is the "doctrine of infallability" for the Church of liberalism.

It's like if someone experiences a personal tradgedy, suddenly their motives are beyond question and their opinions are beyond debate.

That is, as long as they agree with the political goals of the mainstream media. What about the victims who disagree? Their views are treated alot differently.

Did anyone of you lose someone in 9-11? I did and I still agree with Ann Coulter these 4 women she is talking about are money grubbing wenches. What about all of us other people that lost someone? What are they doing with all this money? I sure don't see them helping others: Oklahoma, New Orleans, Mississippi etc. Why not help with the memorial in Pennsylvania? The heros that saved us while dying themselves!!!!!

My stomach turned at her comments. These women have political beliefs which have been largely shaped by the biggest tragedy they've ever endured. To say that these women are "enjoying their husbands' deaths" is beyond hubris. As a Christian, I know I shouldn't wish this, but part of me wants to hear that she's hurled herself off the tallest building after setting herself on fire.

To call her a pig would be to demean pigs everywhere. I'm not sure there's a word to describe her, other than ugly inside and out.

You've missed the point entirely concerning Ann's remarks. Her claim is that if the widow's can openly support a political candidate, that makes them fair game for criticism. That they were hiding behind the 9-11 disaster for immunity of criticism. Like her or not, she is right again.

Keith's comments on Countdown were dead on. If anyone's politicized 9/11, it's been Bush (I'm tough on terror... except for that pre 9/11 thing).

Coulter is a publicity hound who will say anything to get her increasingly aged looking face and bony legs on TV. She fancies herself an attractive, opinionated woman, when in fact she's just a sad attention whore.

Ooooh, that woman drives me crazy! Why do people listen to some of those people? Why do they give them any authority?
I suppose Ann Coulter is totally behind the Iraq vet suing Michael Moore?

I'll have to remember that if anyone in my family dies because of a terrorist attack, I lose my rights as a citizen to publically have an opinion in a public forum. Let me write that down so I don't forget and upset Ann Coulter.
