Don't go to a movie. It's so stupid for a first date I don't know why it's so popular. I mean unless your going to make out the moment you meat on a first date how are you going to get to know each other siting in silence. It's just a way to kill 2 hours together with no effort.
Just chat, go for a walk sit down have a laugh, and then stop of at cafe. All the time just have fun together! If conversation fails go to a theme park or something so you can have fun without to much conversation. Won't be good for the relationship, but better then awkward silence.

Since your only 12 years old and on your first date here is some ideas for your age bracket.
First go as a group to a carnival or the movies. Then to dinner.
Another idea is to just go chill at the mall with you and your group of friends.
