I live in Pawtucket, Rhode Island...

Best thing about it: it is a diverse place and it's a small city, so it's easy to get around...

Worst thing about it: there's not much to do here

US. South NJ.

I like it because its close to the beach and it's pretty nice I guess.
I don't like It because its really congested and sometimes there's nothing to do, or at least it seems like it.

Currently: Baden-Württemburg, Germany.

The best thing about where I am is that I can feel safe walking around at night. For example, I don't have to worry much that I'll be mugged walking about 3 miles home even at 2:30 am with a really drunk Russian singing in bad english. I know that whatever trouble I might get into here, it won't be as bad as the trouble I could get into stateside.

The worst thing is probably the prices. Even for this fairly small town, almost everything is incredibly expensive, but I hear that's relatively normal for Europe. Still, I didn't expect to be forced to buy clothes at almost twice what it costed back home. Still, I suppose that because a lot of the food is really healthy and the clothes is more often made to last, there might be a point, but sometimes I want cheap stuff too.

Utah, the beauty, there are mountains and forest and beautiful parks, great opportunities for the arts, not to far from the city yet 15 minutes and you can be in the mountain, ski'ing is great. We have everything there is out there. The environment is wholesome and the people are great. We also have some incrediable national parks.

The worst, the highways and transportation. They fix a road and get it done to start all over the following year. They are constantly working on them and there is always construction going on. They never get it all cleared away. It is the most horrible thing. They have a main road torn up really bad and it sure makes the comute horrible. Definately the road construction.

Greetings from England.

I live in a small village set in the beautiful lush green countryside near the ancient market town of Buckingham. The name, as listed in the Doomsday Book, is Little Harwood, probably derived from the Anglo-Saxon word "har," meaning "muddy." This is the same name I have on my 1610 map of the County of Buckinghamshire, but since then it has changed slightly to "Little Horwood."

"Little muddy wood" is a pretty accurate description after a few days of rain, but most of the time I wouldn't want to live anywhere else on God's earth. After years of commuting to London, I really appreciate the peace, quiet, tranquillity and lack of stress, the almost total lack of serious crime, the friendliness of most of the inhabitants and the scenery. The atmosphere in my local (public house), which is all of 200 yards across the village green, was incredible yesterday as it opened early for the England game.

The only downsides for me are common to many rural communities in England: no shops (but two pubs, one of which is thatched and the other even older, being 13th century), poor public transport and very few jobs without travelling.

Even though my grandmother was born in the next village (2 miles away), the family connection with the village goes back way beyond this. I can personally remember four generations living here at the same time.

Part of the family farm (now run by my cousin) was requisitioned to form part of a WW2 airfield and US aircrew were stationed there for part of the war.

Cycling into Oxford I pass the former home of one of the original governors of a New England State and, not too much further, is the ancestral home of a certain George Washington, who the British quite rightly refused to grant a military commission - in a career of military incompetence he managed one lucky win after a series of uninterrupted defeats. But that's history I guess.

Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA

Best thing: the weather! Summers are spent on the beach, spring blooms, autumn is gorgeous! Diverse population! And just a short flight from Florida or New York City.

Worst thing: the weather! This past Christmas was 65º! Even I want to see a white Christmas The sailors! I love the sexy men, but they leave and come on a regular basis.

I live on the island of Oahu. People say it's the cost of living here but I can deal with that, similar to Chicago/New York. I would have to say the limited variety of things here because of the expense of shipping things here. You can get major brands of things and things native to Hawaii but selections are limited. You can buy things off the internet to supplement what you can't get here....but be aware of shipping charges.

The best thing I've found is the opportunity to do just about any outdoor activity. The big island even has snow, so you can ski or snowboard if you want.

Right now, Tucson, AZ
Best: You have the mountains and the desert in one & lots of things to do! Some of the most beautiful sunsets/sunrises are pictured here. Wonderful Sonoran food! This is the only desert that has the saguaro cacti! It's growing like crazy & I have met people from all over, who have found this paradise and stayed.

Worst: Hotter than hell in the summer. Gotta watch out for the old snow birds...lol

I live in West Palm Beach, Florida. The best part of living here is the great weather esp. in the winter and the beaches. The worst is the humidity and the fear of Hurricanes for 6 months of the year.

I live on the edge of a prairie, nestled between Little Panther Creek to the east and The Little Wabash River to the west in Clay County Illinois. This place is the most wonderful place I have lived. Big open spaces, great fishing, lots of wildlife!

Chicago, Illinois here!

The best part of Chicago of course is downtown. We have Navy Pier and Millenium Park, both beautiful tourist attractions. We have good hot dogs and deep dish pizza. It's pretty diverse too. Although the weather is unpredictable, it's likely to create fun situations (unexpected rain showers that feel SO good or amazing snow storms).

There's great segregation...whites are sectioned off in nice neighborhoods, blacks and Mexicans often mixed in another. It creates different feelings in certain parts of cities and it hurts my heart to know that alot of children are cheated because of their location. I'm a child myself, but I care about the next generation alot more than I care about my own. The gentrification that takes place disgusts me because it's so obvious but no one knows what to call it.
