How do I reset the dsl time out period?

By the time I get through responding to an email the internet connection has timed out or will not respond to the send command.

It is NOT browser specific. IE DOES NOT time out dsl.

Anyways, the timeout maybe from a couple of things.
- Power Management Turned on
= Goto your network Connections from network neighboorhood
= and right click goto properties, then click on configure
= (on your network device) and select powermange tab

- Faulty network card
= Change your network card since it has died.. Many times it
= happens that way.

I do not think it has something to do with your TTL (time to live). You might have another problem, such as a modem / nic problem... But I would guess you are using IE. If that is the case, I suggest you download firefox; http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/ . It is way better than IE, and could solve your problem, Good Luck!
