In the past, I have been a Bowling Alley, Sea, Pharmacy, Spider Web, Heaven, and a $100 Bill. My picture is from this past Holloween costume of a Treasure Island. These are supposed to be THEMES! Some of the answers here are really good, but they need to be more all inclusive than choosing a theme and then narrowing it down to one object or persom from that theme. For example, someone said Six Flags. That is all encompassing. That is what I am looing for. Please feel free to change your answer or add to it. Soe of the answers here are really good and difficult to choose from. Most of you chose the easy, "one item" cheesy answers.

My husband and I do the same thing. One year I was a Sumo wrestler and he was a very demure Geisha girl. Here are some other ideas: Egyptian pyamid or paroh, A Priceless credit card, A Fast Food Counter and my favorite, a Scarecrow. I put one on my porch a few weeks ahead of Halloweenie, then once it got dark I sat dressed as one on the chair where the stuffed one had been. Scared the heck out of my neighbor kids when they came up to the porch, reached in the candy bowl and I grabbed their little hands!

How about 666 or the end of the world given the recent talk about 6 June 2006?

A couple of years ago I saw this really great costume. It related to the wizard of oz. She was Dorothy, but not just in a blue check dress. She had this hot air balloon component to her outfit, like she was Dorothy getting ready to leave oz. It was great, if I had a picture I'd share it. But you can use your imagination. Hope you get a great idea for this year.

Pick a movie and include the location/s and cast members. Like Wizard of Oz, Harry Potter, WIlly Wonka, Fast and Furious

The best costume I have ever heard of...

A woman wore a red business suit and dyed her hair red. On her name tag it said, "Hello, my name is ADVOCATE."

You follow? Devil's Advocate? Subtle, but effective. The people who don't "get it" should not concern you. If you have to go over the top, add some other accessory to complete to costume. Horns would be over doing it.

be a just married car with cans stringed up in the back. That'll really crack someone up really bad. Or at least a few newlyweds. And make a few "seats" for people to come in n out if its not that complicated.

Dress up as a car with dynamite in the window. You are an IED! That aught to scare any Iraq veterans you meet.
