doors open by themselves and something fell by itself and it`s around the time my brother died last year and I ask the spirit to show itself or talk to me and everything is silent and nothing happens what do I do to communicate with the spirit or find out more about it?

my imagination a dvd on top of the dvd player was found five feet away from the dvd player and I know it`s a spirit because in a sylvia browne book she said that heaven is three feet above earth just mortals can`t see it we are actually ghosts on their territory

You need to acknowledge him. Call your brother by name. Tell him that you love him and miss him. Let him know that you and everyone in the family is ok. But let him know that when he makes noises it scares you. Ask him to please stop scaring you and move on. Let him know that it's ok for him to stay with you if he wants to, if it is, but that he has to stop freaking you out.

I will try to explain this the way I was told.
When a person brings a Rose into the House and then leaves with it, we can smell the Rose after it gone.
Sometimes this happens with people. It like their Essence remains around after they go. Follow me so far? This could be an Explanation of Ghosts, or, whatever. How long this Essence of a person remains around we not real sure, many factors to this Theory. There may be communication or not. IF, you know some concerns/problems your Brother had, you may say this to the "spirit" and tell it that "everything is OK and he can rest" or say "he need not be afraid and needs to go and find Peace". This may ease any Concerns of this "spirit" and it may leave and go to where it needs to go. This will require YOU to be wanting to let go too, he needs to go and complete this journey and YOU do not need to hinder this, but, encourage him it is OK.
This all I can say.

Just keep trying to talk to it and if it dosen't respond after a while it may be confused or unable to understand the living. If it is violent (which I don't think it is from your desription) you can hire a priest to bless the house. But for communicating with the spirit hire a medium! Mediums have the power to leave their bodies and let the spirit speak through them. Then you can talk to it. It may not be tied to you brother's death. If you live in an old house the former owners could have had a violent death. You should look up the home's history. Even if it is a new house, just built, it could be on land were there was violence or burials.

Do you live by yourself? If so, talk to the spirit and let it know that you do not want to be touched or harmed in any way. They have to follow your wishes on this matter. Ask the spirit to guard you while your are not home or when you are sleeping and you will be guarded most of the time. Only talk to the spirit when you know they are present. Otherwise they will not abide by your wishes. This could be your personal guardian angle so do nothing to anger the spirit. If you feel you are being pushed into something you are not happy with let your wishes be know. Help me out with 10 points.

I am a Christian and I feel as if this could be your brother or someone else just letting you know that they are alright and that they are looking out for you
I know this because after my sis died of Cancer she came back to let my siblings and I know that she was O.K.
If it does come around again just talk , it might sound strange but it does work

If there is a spirit it is not your brother. It says in the Bible that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Your brother is not on Earth. It must be demonic. Tell it to leave.

Search for your houses history and see when it was made, or if anybody died in it other than your brother. If it was someone like a sheriff, don't worry. And remember, its sort of like the spirit is in labor, and needs to "pass over".

i am a christian. but i am not going to get biblical on you. you say there is a spirit in your house. the spirit is already showing itself by opening doors and moving objects. your house maybe haunted and the spirit may want you to leave. or contact someone whos expertice is in dealing with the supernatural.

I say try and figure out who it is. Ask them for signs of who they are. Leave pictures out of your brother. You never know.
