Because you lazy bastards can't even pump your own gas! Just kidding. I had never heard about that until I saw on the news that it was voted to keep it that way. Only been to jersey once - I spent a 4 hr layover in the newark airport. Not the best 4 hrs of my life, I'm afraid ;)

Hey, I like NJ, I live there!

It seems that some people think ALL of New Jersey is like Newark, Jersey City, and Camden...it's not. we have the Pine Barrens, which is very beautiful, as well as nice beaches and resort towns/cities...and we also have our famous Jersey tomatoes, corn, blueberries, and cranberry bogs!

I don't hate New Jersey. In fact, I was born there and I grew up there.

I can't say I truly hate the area, but my own personal experience is that the northern area smells horribly. We drove through to go to the airport one time and the smell could gag a maggot. Very nasty.
