Hmm, that's like saying I want to throw away this can but keep it. To use Yahoo messenger you need a Yahoo account. It's really that simple.

You can download the YIM software from the Yahoo! site. Here is how.
1) Go to Yahoo.com
2) Click on All Yahoo Services.
3) Click on Messanger.
4) Download the software.

If ya wanna eliminate Yahoo! Messenger, component to start -- Settings - administration Panel. click upload or eliminate courses, component to Yahoo! Messenger, then click "replace/eliminate" button. The classes above is for residing house windows XP.

The only way to cancel is ignore....never return to the other features and they will delete within 6 months.

What exactly dont you want to use? if its your email, you still have to provide an alternate email adress for yahoo in your "my yahoo!" account information.
So you can still use yahoo services. Messenger is one of their services.
