the reason there are not short models is because clothing drapes better over tall bodies - best of luck though!!

OK I'm not a guy but I had to answer your question. My answer is hell yeah! Why not? In my opinion there are more short women out there than tall. I very rarely meet any women who are taller than 5'7". I am short and I would love to see models wearing clothing styles that I could wear as well. We need a new "species" of model. Short, with boobs! Most models have very small breasts. Most women out there are at least a C cup. I am one of them. We can't wear the really low cut pretty tank tops and dresses like you see in fashion magazines. We fall out! I would definitely like to see some shorter models. There are plus size models so why not short? As long as they are fit any woman no matter what height should be able to be a model.

i don't think it's about the looks. like one answerer said, they choose TALL models because clothes drape better on taller people. even if a women is sexy, she may not be a model if she's short. sorry, i am not making the rules...it's just that on vogue and other fashion magazines they are all tall people. i think it sucks that they choose tall people. don't feel bad if you're short though -- i'm short too and many women are too.

Well, petite women generally have a hard time finding catalogue and/or runway work. Casting agents and fashion directors prefer to put their clothes on tall, thin women.
That's just the way it is.

Yes indeed-- when I was a Fashion Photographer I used many girls much shorteer than the 6 foot runway types. Many different jobs in Modelling!

Yes Iam only 4'11 and I had people tell me all my life I could be a model.Then when I got older Iam 21 now I had 2 offers to be a model.

Yes!I've known petite women that were every bit as sexy as tall women, one in particular is 4'll",(same as you babaygirl) and she's spectacular!I love petite women.I've dated tall women too, but average and petite women are every bit as beautiful!
