Try writing. Keeping a journal to write your thoughts and feelings down really can help. Just take out the book, set a certain length of time and just go to it. Really let go. Remember you can be as honest as you want because nobody ever needs to read it.

Deep breath, however not just in & out. Breathe deeply in, hold out for about 6 - 9 seconds, let out slowly. This automatically begins to level out your adrenaline (natural chemical in your body that gets going while under stress). Count to 10, or 20, 50 if you have to. Talk to someone you trust that can listen, nto necessarily give advice or tell you what to do. Write it down in a journal or even junst on paper. Then you can read it later and perhaps say to yourself..."hmm it wasn't that bad, or why did I get all stressed out?" Identifying your "triggers" (the things that set you off towards anxiety/stress) can then help you either avoid them or handle them better the next time. Be good to yourself by getting sleep (maybe getting extra by going to bed earlier), eating well (fruits, veggies) and increase your water intake. And, of course, sometimes laughter is the best stress-buster. Life is too precious to be all stressed-out, anxiety-filled all the time. A little stress is normal. Look for times you can use stress for a positive reason. Peace!

i actually just had a nice stress reliever today....i went to the semi annual sale at bath and body works today, and bought myself a bunch of stuff i didnt need. i just love that store and the products they carry. i can justify my splurge by saying, i rarely spend anything on myself, and i will eventually use these items thru out the year, or can give them away as gifts. the smells of that store, will make the most uptight person feel like they are in a scented garden in heaven.

smoke a joint? it could help. if you have tried that and it didn't help or if your totally against that which would be understandable, try aroma therapy lavender is soothing and you can get it in an oil or a body oil. a body oil would be twice as nice cause stress can be relieved through massage therapy (especially through the feet and neck). or meditation or meditative music.

what i know to get results are Pepermint oil and body shower gel that you can get from any CVS or bath and body works and its pretty cheap. i use it As soon as i get ready to go to bed, or buy some calming lotion and give yourself a massage. also what is good is a good long soak in some bath water and bath salts or just some epsom salt.

go to a quiet place, picture a relaxing location in your mind (for me, it's on a hammock near the water in Hawaii) and take slow deep breaths.
