Each court, federal, state or local, has a CLERK OF THE COURT who is responsible for all the record keeping. All you need do is make a phone call, give the clerk the name of the person and ask when the pending court date is.

More of the courts have web sites, where you can type in the name of the plaintiff or defendant and get information too.

In most cases, the file is public record and you can review it for yourself. If the staffing level permits, the court might give you the information over the phone. Some courts has some of this information on their website if you know the case number.
