Teachers??? Today was my childs last day of school and I have to say that she had an amazing teacher this year. I always knew that teachers have a tuff and trying job but over the last two weeks I have spent many hours volunteering and I am amazed at all just one teacher does for our children. So I want to say "thank you", to all of you who are prepairing to become a teacher or who already are teaching. I know your patience are tried all day long and the challenging task of doing your best to help them learn. It takes a villiage to raise a child, I appreciate all you do. So next time you are so busy with every day life, don't forget to stop hug your child or children and thank thier teacher too.

Thank you for your wonderful comments. I am a mother of two and a 12 year elementary school teacher. I always remember my own children's teachers for almost every holiday. A card, a candle, flowers,or a craft made by my kids, a little reminder that we care and appreciate everything they do. The only thing I expect from my students is to be the best they can be so when they draw a picture or write me a heartfelt card I LOVE IT!

Last year, my whole class took me out to pizza and had a party for me. They even chipped in money for a massage afterwards. They had a cake and balloons also! Though...I think the best thank you I ever had was at a teacher's appreciation dinner when the principal read some comments written by a parent on how I changed my student's life in a positive way. Send a heart-felt thank you note.

That is so nice to hear. Sometimes I feel like no one realizes what hard work we do. Lots of times people seem to think we spend all day coloring pictures and playing with kids. There is so much more to it! I am emotionally drained every day. I can honestly say, however, I can't imagine doing anything else with my life right now.

What a sweetheart! Today was my students' last day, and I didn't get to say goodbye to half of them due to poor instructions from administration (long story). I was feeling sorta down about the whole thing, but your question brightened my day. :)
