Oatmeal Scrub for Pennies

Add just enough warm water to loose oatmeal to form a paste and then massage into your skin for a quick exfoliating facial. Rinse off and your skin will be soft and free of those nasty dead skin cells that results in muddy looking skin.

Summer Fruit Facial

-strawberries
-fresh nectarine
-fresh papaya
-1 egg white
-1/2 an English cucumber

Puree all in a blender, apply to face and relax with a good book for 15 minutes. If there is any stinging sensation, remove the mask immediately. This reaction will allert you to the fact that you have a sensitivity to one of the ingredients.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Autumn Mask

* 1 ripe apple
* 1/2 tsp Half and Half
* 1 tsp honey
* 1 T oats
* 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Peel and grate the apple and then add the remaining ingredients. Mash with a fork to reduce the texture, and then apply it to your face. Wait 10 minutes and then wash off.
--------------------------------------------
Orange Yogurt Mask

Ingredients Needed:

* 1 tsp plain yogurt (I chose Balkan Style)
* the juice of 1/4 of an orange.

Stir to mix and then dip fingers into mixture and smooth onto face. The sensation is both cool and relaxing. Leave on for a five minutes and then rinse. If you are feeling sluggish, this is the perfect mask for you. The yogurt will cleanse and nourish. The orange is full of Vitamin C and AHA's.

*Don't let the yogurt go to waste. Add a little fresh fruit and you have the makings of a nutritious lunch.

Miracle Whip Exfoliator

(By Victoria, Anti-aging Beauty Tips)

"Yes, I am talking about the same Miracle Whip your Aunt Mable uses in her macaroni salad. Apparently, women all over the US are using this salad dressing ingredient on their faces to remove dead flaky skin.

I have not tried it myself, but supposedly, KRAFT MIRACLE WHIP Exfoliating Facial makes an amazing treatment for normalizing over-oily skin.

Here is how you apply this "miracle cream":

Make sure all your hair is pulled back from your face. Apply a thin layer of the KMW all over your face, up to the eyelashes and make sure to also put some on your neck. The "fumes" from the vinegar may bother you so walk around the house to try to escape them. LOL!

Leave on for 10 minutes, then massage gently. The dead skin cells on your face will roll off in rubbery little balls. Rinse your skin with tepid water, then cleanse as usual following your regular beauty regime. If you apply the KMW every day, in 6-8 weeks your skin should be completely renewed.

I cannot help but wonder if this Miracle Whip eats away at the dead skin cells on your face, what does it do to the inside of the body when someone eats it?? Pretty scary!!! One person believes that the vinegar in the Miracle Whip is what causes the exfoliation and rejuvenation. If that is true, why not try a mixture of organic apple cider vinegar with some olive oil, apply that and see what happens? One could whip together the olive oil and apple cider vinegar, apply it to their face and then use the leftovers on their salad!

I think I will start experimenting with some ingredients and try to come up with a facial recipe to rival the KRAFT MIRACLE WHIP!"

Banana Moon Facial Mask

INGREDIENTS

1 banana, just ripe
1 tablespoon honey
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon wheat germ oil
1 tablespoon finely powdered oats
1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional, if mask will not be used immediately)
1 drop each rose and Melissa essential oils (optional)

1. Peel and mash banana. Add honey, egg yolk, wheat germ oil, oats, and lemon juice, if used, and mash further to form a smooth, creamy paste.

2. If mask is too thick, add a bit of distilled water, and stir until smooth.

3. Add essential oils last, and stir to mix well.

4. To use, apply to clean face and neck, avoiding eye and mouth areas. Rest for 10 minutes, or longer if your skin is very dry. Rinse with warm water, and follow with toner and moisturizer, if desired. Use mask within a few hours of making.
