I know I would need to purchase an EV-DO card for my laptop, I guess I'm wondering if there is anything additional I'd need to pay for from Verizon to use EV-DO internet access on my cel phone in the same way I am using it on my phone today.

Right, you would need to purchase a PCMCIA EVDO card for your laptop, such as the Verizon Wireless V620 or PC5740 card along with their unlimited broadband access plan for 59.99/month for example. Check the link below to dig into their service plan offerings. Would you be looking to transfer the service from the cell phone to the laptop? Or have the broadband access on both your cell and laptop I would think? That's a Verizon Wireless question, if you want it in both places you might need 2 plans or perhaps there's an option to share the one plan across the two numbers on both devices, or if you need a 2nd plan maybe there are options for good combo-plan discounts.

I Hear that the LG-V is passing EVDO speed thru a usb cable for an extra 50 bucks. Im thinking of trying this out, also I suspect that the treo 650 can pass evdo through its bluetooth connection. Correct me if I'm wrong.
