It depends on the level of responsibility that you are willing to take on. If you want a low maitenance animal then a goldfish is the best pet. They are easy to care for and entertaining. If you want an animal that you can really love, but give a lot of care for, then a dog is the best pet. Personally, I say a cute little golden retriever puppy. They are loyal, loving, and will never leave your side.

It completely depends on your situation! Where you live, how much room you have, how much money you can put into a pet, etc. For example if you live in the country you could consider a horse, but in the city in a small apartment would only leave enough room for a rabbit or fish.

What would you say?
No matter if they have fins,fur,feathers,scales,beaks, or bad breath! They are at our mercy at all times, please think about that before any purchase.
Personally I have had a horse,goat two dogs one ball python, two doves and have had bantam hens, rats and a cockatail. All have lived full lives here and my personal vacations and other plans are based round feeding cleaning my animals FIRST! good luck, Bugsie

i would have to say the cat is the best pet to have because they dont get big like dogs do

Not to be a smart-butt, but you should consider a rock...if you prefer something living, a beta is an excellent choice... unless you have the time to care for an animal and maintain it's environment; if you do, try a pair of sugar gliders!!!!

it depends on your personality. if you are fun loving and carefree get a dog. if you are more laid back and mellow get a cat. if you are a freak that wants attention get a spider, rat, and/or snake. nothing personal but they just don't do much. and if you have a lot of money and land get a horse becuase that could fit any personality, if you know how to ride. get something that makes you feel happy and complete when you see it or touch it (i know its corny but it's true)!!!

i'd say either a dog or a lizard! i have both. i have a springer spaniel(dog) and a Leopard Gecko(lizard). They're awesome pets!
