when i am on a in yahoo mail and click on my yahoo or any other link, it opens in a new page. i just had a new hard drive put in so i am loading everything back on my pc.

Some links are set up that way by the web page designer and there's nothing you can do about it. By default, your browser should be set up to open links in the same window and you can CHOOSE to open then in a new window by right clicking on the link.

which browser are you reffering to, for internet explorer that option will probably be in internet options ( which you can get to by going to tools --> options --> advanced tab ) or use internet options in the control panel
If you are talking about firefox then it will be in the options for firefox :)
If you need more specific info then google it :)
