Lacrimamation is the abnormal excessive production of tears. I suspect that its use is like that of mucosa/mucus. I think another term it may be referring to is the lacrimal apparatus, the glands and nasolacrimal drainage ducts for the health and maintenance of the conjunctiva (whites of your eyes) and cornea of the eyes. These glands and ducts keep the eyes moist and help prevent eye infections. These ducts make your nose runny when you cry because the excess tears (the ones that don't run down your face) are drained away to the nose.

Yes, pertains to tears or crying. Sounds like maybe Spanish??? As in "Una Furtiva Lagrima"--Italian--"A Furtive Tear".
