Just to clear things up for those of you who insist on saying "he wouls have to be a citizen to be president" well i got news for you. You can be a latino born in te U.S. So next time you see the word latino do not fully imply that all latinos are born out side the U.S. Some latinos are born here and some in latin america. So yes some day a latino can become president and he would do much better than a certain "oil tycoon wannabe president".

(Being that he was born in the U.S. ) Being part of the minority myself, I don't see anything wrong with it. I have met people from various backgrounds/races who are smart, truthful, and dedicated people. I just think that America is not ready for a non-white, non-male president. It is sort of messed up because people see the U.S. as this powerful and pretty liberal country, however there are third world countries who have women presidents . And now Germany has its first woman chancellor. Even England which is another powerful and liberal country has had a woman prime minister. And the problem is that voters themselves won't vote for someone who does not fit that Presidential image.

As long as it is not Gonzalez then cool. America has had too many old white men running it and ruining it. I love how there is now a border around Mexico, but not Canada. Maybe people need to get informed and see that the 9/11 terrrorist came from Canada. Oh by the way they just broke up a terrorist ring up there a couple of days ago, but don't worry Canada is safe because it is full of white people

He would not be a Latino who becomes president, he would be an American who can speak Spanish fluently. The same could be for a Chinese as long as he was born in this country.

He would still have to obey the law, or he would be impeached for arrested, and to run for President he needs a lot of money. Our government is set up so that one man could not take over the country if that's what your thinking. it would be ok with me, all new laws or bill need the approval of the Senate and congress any way. He couldn't do any more harm than any body else.

I think that would be great.
HOWEVER, we must not look at the race. It is so ridiculous and it pisses me off so much that people say like "the first women president" "the first Huispanic president" "The first minority." We are all ONE BIG WORLD. Who cares about color. They shouldn't even do demographics on color. If tiw as up to me, the census wouldn't do studies on race and ethnicities. That pisses me off that they do.
We need to vote for people by their beliefs, not by if they're a minority, female, and so forth. Until we can achieve this, there will be racism. I think racial profiling, and testing race and ethnicity is racism lol.

How I reacted wouldn't be based on his being a latino, it would be based on his policies. I wouldn't like it much if cruz bustamante became president, alberto gonzalez might be all right.

You have to be born in the United States to become a president so your question has no value.
