You can mix baking soda with water and use it as an antacid. My sister told me that our grandmother or some other older person said if you eat watermelon and drink the baking soda mixture later (lets say you get indigestion and need to burp baking soda water will do that for you) then it will make you sick or something like that

I've made watermelon muffins which have both baking soda & watermelon & I'm still alive.

Pour the baking soda on the watermelon. Does it fizz? Don't eat it. And never eat baking soda and vinegar.

No, why would it be? I wouldn't make a habit of eating baking soda however, it is very high in sodium.

Ok, Have to ask.....Why would you want to??? I have heard of putting salt on it, and also using a little Lemon juice to bring out the flavor but, baking soda???? ok...I will play...
