can anyone tell me why were people so alarmed about 6-6-06? What is it all about?

People trying to hard to interpret the Bible their own way for their own purpose of creating religious fear, and subsequent subservience of their followers. As you see by now--NOTHING happened. Guess that one fell apart just as bad as the whole Y2K nonsense, lol.

you know some people watch horror movies .and like the feeling of being scared ,but knowing that they are safe anyway because its only a movie.
it is like being a masochist ,and the bonds are not really tight .and the wip is made of silk not barbed wire.
like being a weekend hippy.
all of this is just playing at being hurt ,or scared or freaked out .
it is not the hard core for real mackoy
the 666 day ,and halloween ,is like that for the Christians ,who play at being religious ,and play at being scared as their faith is based on fear.With Devils under the bed ,Demons in the cubboard,and Hell waiting to burn the sinners.
In Europe most people have left the middle ages and have accepted the fact that they are in the 21st century .

6-6-06 is a symbol of the devil, or a representation of him. It was all a load of bull!! It doesn't mean anything!

What I don't understand is since there are different calendars... whose 6/6/6 should we look out for? Isn't it rather biased to feel that an American calendar would cause destruction for the enitre world? Perhaps the Chinese calendar will let us know when the world is coming to an end.

Its because in revelations( which is nothing but a dream by the way)the writer says the sign of the devil is 666.

actually it's pretty controversial. there's some painting that;s supposed to have the numbers 666 next to the devil or something, and then it's supposed to not look like it at all. plus it happened in 1906, 1806, it will happen again in 2106 or whatever

666 is the Mark of the Beast (Beast = Devil/Satan). People were freaking out because they thought the Apocalypse was going to happen, but it actually was just a date on the calendar.
