Sorry but I'd say it's the opposite. High school, in no way, is an operative example of everyday life post those 4 years.

Each community is made up of all kinds of people: wide range of ages, belief systems, political leanings, religions, races, ethnicity, physical differences. Since the students in the school come from that community, they too reflect these differences and mirror the society from which they have come.

Not quite. The problem is that teenagers tend to hang out with people who like the same things. It's very stereotyped. In the "real" world (can't think of a better a better word right now), people tend to mix more and to be interested in people for less shallow reasons. I think.

It's not. All of the social mores you are picking up in h.s. can be tossed out the window the minute you graduate, or sooner if you want to be happy.
