the ends of the leaves are brown and wilted but the stems are green. I'm watering, fertilizing but not too much I think. Should I not worry about it or do I need to cut the leaves off. It will be all stems if I do that.

If the leaves are brown the leaf itself will not come back. You should only fertilize your plant every 3 months during it's active growing period. You shouldn't let your plant sit in water. When watering it let the top 1/2 inch of soil dry out. You can prune your plant back, depending on the type of plant it should grow back. Good Luck

The leaves are dead and do no good to the plant. Sounds like you need to cut it back pretty hard. I don't know what kind of plant it is, but it should come back healthier.

Check to see what kind of fertilizer it should have, and what its watering schedule should be. Some need to be uniformly damp, some need to dry out between waterings.

if the stems are green, try pruning back severely. move so it's not getting too much sun exposure, keep soil moist. nothing to lose!
