Occasionally, my 1995 Lincoln Town Car won't start for a day or two, then it starts up again. When I try starting it, it starts rolling over, but the engine just can't seem to start up. Repair shops can't figure out the problem. They've done a ton of tests and have no idea what is causing the problem. The weather doesn't seem to be the problem, as it's happened on good days as well as bad ones.

Sometimes my car won't start... but then, after I find my keys, it starts right up...

Cant help you there. If local techs cant find the problem , then it would be dam near impossible for me to give you an accurate guess without seeing your car. Just dont know what was already done to your car as far as tests either. Just remember

It sounds like a problem with the crank position sensor. Ask a quality auto shop to check it and you may find your problem. I had a very similar starting problem with my 91 Lincoln Town Car.

Test the ignition control module...this is a very common problem with Fords. It's located on the distributor.
