I am sure that it could. Our government is so screwed up and none of the senators or the president try to make better decisions or pass good amendments to make a better country. They are just money hungry and lie about alot of things to hide things from society so that they dont scare us.

Oh yeah, we have the best government in the world, and it is screwed up, but it is better than the rest. There is no such thing as a perfect government.

Yes, it could be. We could be run by bloodsucking aliens who brainwashed our minds to feed the plankton in the seas who they worship as their almighty god. Then the aliens could get all worked up over preventing the aliens from the next planet over from illegally landing their UFOs on our planet and stealing all out jobs. Then, the alien who basically controls the other puppet alien who looks like a monkey, would accidently laser their best friend alien.
Oh, my bad, that's what it's really like...if not a slightly better view on our government.

Well, it could be a government that would arrest and beat you and your family for asking a question like that. So at least be thankful that you have a government that permits free speech.

Sure. Look at the governments of Haiti, Somalia, Sudan, Solomon Islands, etc., and you will observe dramatically worse situations.
