The band was named Fastway. The name came from the 2 founding members "Fast" Eddie Clarke who was the former Motörhead guitarist and bassist Pete Way, ex-UFO, but he left the band before they even recorded anything. They had several members during their career and they are as follows:

Fast Eddie Clarke formed Fastway in 1982 along with Topper Heddon, Dave King and Gerry Shirley.

The guitarist was "Fast" Eddie Clarke, who left and formed Fastway.

The members were Clarke, Pete Way, Jerry Shirley and Dave King .
