For what? Seriously, even if he knew the intel was wrong & intentionally lied about it, which we all know isn't true, it that a felony? He didn't lie under oath! Other people maybe, IF they knew it was a lie AND they knew the Pres knew it was a lie & told them to do it anyway. Also, revealing that CIA agent wasn't a crime. The guy is on trial for lying about it, not for doing it. She was a CIA mailman when overseas & had been back as an analyst for five years - it's only a crime if they are a covert operative overseas or having nly been back less then two years. And, she used her position to try & skew the intel so the Pres would make dif decisions, that is a crime.

Iraq was & is in the American interests & it has nothing to do with WMD. How do you win the GWOT? It’s near impossible to kill an idea (did a pretty good job with Nazis), but you can beat the practitioners down while taking away their motivations to attack, and proving we're willing to bleed for what we believe in more than they are. We were attacked, according to UBL, because (in order of importance to them): we had troops in the Muslim holy land (Saudi), propping up oppressive regimes, & support for Israel. So…

1) After 9/11 Saudi agreed to crack down on extremism, but said it would be helpful if we relocated our troops elsewhere in the mid-east. However, they continued to fear a future invasion by Saddam, even the treat of which would destabilize the world economy. We moved our troops to Bahrain/Kuwait, and then took out the threat that kept them in Saudi in the first place. It had to be done for regional stability.

2) We do support non-democratic regimes in the Muslim world, because they’re better than extremist Islamic theocracies, and these regimes do tend to oppress extremists, just as we oppress extremists like the KKK. In order to stop supporting such regimes, they have to be replaced with free democratic moderate & modern govts willing to live in peace with their neighbors & us. Planting the seeds of democracy in the center of Islam with a progressive population that will grow with it over time & change the region is the best way to do that & worth what we’re spending there.

3) We support Israel for a couple reasons. We say it’s because they’re the only free democracy in the Middle East, but we didn’t start providing that support till they were losing a war & had nuclear bombers in the air on the way to Cairo & Damascus begging the US to find a solution that would keep them from being invaded again. President Bush is the FIRST US Pres to call for a Palestinian state along side Israel, Clinton NEVER did that. We’d still like to bring a peaceful solution to the Palestinian question, but it cannot include the destruction of the state of Israel that the terrorists call for.

We’ll take away their reasons for fighting, or at least the things they use to recruit & brainwash new generations. Iraq is rough in the short-term, but winning there will eventually make the world a better place & is a piece of the puzzle that wins the GWOT. Those who haven’t & are unwilling to sacrifice shouldn’t attack those that have & support the cause. Get informed & don’t be a coward!

While there was a plethora of mistakes, errors, and possibly even false information promulgated to get us into the Iraq situation, at this point there seems to have been no impeachable offense.

I dislike Bush, but Congress sheepishly agreed to the war. You can't impeach him for that. If you could prove he lied to Congress, or exposed the CIA agent, yes that would be impeachable.

Wikipedia says impeachment is: "treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors"

the iraq war wasn't treason or bribery. However, these phone taps that he lied about are a huge invasion on privacy. Maybe those taps warrant impeachment.

No, you moron. He didn't do anything illegal or dishonest. If anyone lied about Iraq, it was clinton, kennedy, kerry, and all the other dems who said the same thing about Saddam before Bush was elected.
