I don't really like AFI's new video 'Miss Murder'. He doesn't sell the role and I don't like the way his mouth moves. MTV plays the song way too much (along with some other songs) and the vibe that AFI is just so not cool. Are they supposed to be punk? If so, Davey looks like a markered raggedy Anne doll. I've certainly seen better rockers... Then again... A lot of the bands out right now are a bunch of posers. It's been like that for a few years now. The real rock/punk is gone. Am I the only one who thinks this way about the direction of music? What a bummer... ... ... (I know I'm going to get some flack from this comment, but I had to get it out. Whats with people hating on AFI now!? Sure the video gets played every 2 seconds... but still, AFI is awesome. Yes i agree that real punk music is gone now. But you should listen to some old AFI, because they go waaaay back. That's when alot of people considered them punk. And then "Sing The Sorrow" came out and they got tons of **** from people for changing their sound. But i think they sound pretty damn good. And davey havok is pretty! lol

It's alright that you feel that way. However, I must say that AFI is nowhere near being a poser band. They're music might be changing but AFI has said that the true fans "expect and embrace change". The band is still A LOT better than some other bands out there, so that's cool.

Personally, it doesn't matter to me that MTV is playing the video a lot. I mean, if it gets more fans and exposes AFI to more people, that's all that matters, right? Sure, I know, it'll bring a lot of "loser" fans that'll throw away the band once they become unpopular, but I'm certain the interest in 'Miss Murder' will also bring in fans who actually like the band and then they'll start checking out StS, The Art of Drowning, Black Sails, etc. I happen to like the video, and sure, I'll admit, I'd rather be listening to The Boy Who Destroyed the World or something, but I still like it.

I don't like "Miss Murder" either, especially the bridge. But please, don't judge their new sound on one lousy song. Decemberunderground is a range of different songs, and if anything, "Miss Murder" is the most "poseur" sounding.
The video itself, I believe, has to do with an ongoing mystery that some of the AFI fans are trying to solve. I suppose this is why there are rabbits and "Miss Murder" involved. For more on the mystery and, I suppose, a better understanding of the video, you could check out the AFI board, or a synopsis of the mystery so far.

Again, AFI are a progressive band and have consistently grown with time. We can not expect them to remain as they were ten years ago.
I believe AFI have become the premier band of the decade. Being a true AFI fan and one with vision. I have grown individually and artistically as they have. I think they are unique and will succeed as a band of the future. Let's play fair and give them a break.

i think the same thing but i still love AFI's new video but the bands out right now are posers!!! i support your opinion but the thing about AFI.

I agree with the not liking the video and it being overplayed. But, I think there is still a lot of good rock music out there. I love Canadian bands.
