I think you should live life without regret. Regardless of whether or not something is a "good" or "bad" decision. Everything is relative. After a while, you will have time to reflect and put it into proper perspective. Stuff happens and only time will tell. I, personally, am glad for every experience I've had, good or bad as they, collectively, make me the person I am today.

Disagree. How could you always know whether or not you will regret something? We all make mistakes and few of us do so knowingly. Remorse is the poison of life only if we let it be, without it though, I don't know how we would learn anything. Wouldn't we keep making the same mistakes over and over again? Remorse may just be more a tool than a poison, if we let it be.

Agree. Mostly because I think the remorse may not hit you until you are in your senior years when you spend more time looking back on your life and remembering it. It is obviously going to be much more enjoyable to be able to revisit your memories and feel happy and satisfied with your life, rather than feeling remorseful or regretful about the things you have done. I think remorse will bring you depression and a sense of hopelessness.

Disagree. Things are not always black and white and being humans, we sometimes make "tough" decisions and have to live with them. Sometimes we regret them...

Consider being remorseful for something that you could not control the outcome of, or could not act or think fast enough.

Simple example - you have two children and some pyscho asks you to choose which one dies and if you don't, then both die. No mater what your decision or indecision may be, you will be remorseful.

I agree to a point. After all, who wants to feel guilt and remorse? It's not pleasureable. On the other hand, no one is born perfect or born with all the right answers. So we ALL will make mistakes that we will regret. And sometimes, that's how we learn our most important lessons!

yes remorse may be the poison of life. but you don't always know if you're going to regret something you did at a later time. and if we never did those things then we would never be able to learn from our mistakes and have a greater understanding of our emotions.

I totally agree because looking back at the mistakes I made, I know if I had made different choices, there would not be room for me to be remorseful or for me to have any regrets.

Disagree. You never know what you might come to regret. So just go ahead and do what feels right at the moment and let the future take care of itself.

Disagree! To live is to learn. There are many things I have done that I probably should not have but I don't regret doing them. Of the things I do regret it's the things that I could have done but did not.
