It can take hours, they come out one at a time. And they usually get eaten the second they are born unless you have a special place set up for them separate from the other fish. But sometimes even the Mommy will eat her own babies so get her away from them as soon as she is done giving birth.

They can take up to a day or more to have all the babies. Some times the mother will stop if she is being harassed too bad by the other tank mates. Other times she can push them all out in an hour or so.

nimo..is right one the money, one at a time and yes as bad as it sounds they will eat their young
they sell breeding tanks at the pet stores
its just like a very small isolation tank that floats or clips on to the side of the tank
