Meditation!
When you say numb I think bored, so you need to expand your mind. You know what they say, a mind stretched by a new idea can never regain it's original dimension.
Try doing focused breathing like breath in for a count of 5 and then out for a count of 10. It is very cleansing and relaxing.
Or try mantra meditation. It is the closest I can get to a quiet mind. The website below will explain a little more if you are really interested.
The are monks and yogis that meditate for years to slow the mind down, if yours is already slow enough to be numb you may actually be able to achieve nirvana! I am jealous.......

When I have a numb foot or bottom I just smack them until they wake up again............. You could try that I suppose!!!

stand up and rub your butt, seriosly though any tning that you mentally find challenging crosswords suduko etc
