I had my tubes cut, burnt and tied over 5 years ago. I desperately want to have another baby now but I do not have insurance and I can not afford to have the tubal ligation reversed. I don't want to sound silly but I was just wondering if you can do anything to increase your odds.....

With tubal ligation, the risk of ectopic pregnancy goes up if you do get pregnant after all. This is a very serious, dangerous condition when an embryo begins developing outside of the uterus. It really isn't worth the risk...you could actually die if an ectopic pregnancy isn't correctly and quickly diagnosed.

I am also interested in the procedure and we have insurance, but most doesn't cover it. I found a doctor who will do it for $4600 and takes payments. They are in North Carolina and their web site is very informative. It even shows you your odds of concieving based on your age and how the tubal was done. Good luck!

no there is nothing you can do unless you do get them untied.

i know a doctor that has a payment plan on untieing tubes and he is really successful at helping people conceive.

Dr. Richard Levin
Go to his website and just check it out (it couldn't hurt)

I know people that have had their tubes cut, burnt, tied and had it like that for 10 years and went to this doctor and they conceieved again.
good luck
